As alike as two peas in a pod
直訳：エンドウの鞘の中の二つの豆のようによく似ている
和訳：瓜二つ。とてもよく似ている。そっくりで。
語源：16世紀頃からイギリスでは、"like as two peas"（二つの豆のようによく似ている）のような表現が頻繁に使われるようになった。例えば、
John Lyly が1580年のEuphues and his Englandにこのような文面を書いた：
"Wherin I am not unlike unto the unskilfull Painter, who having drawen the Twinnes of Hippocrates, (who wer as lyke as one pease is to an other)."
中世英語だが、下線の部分を現代英語に訳すと、
who were as alike as one pea is like another.
